Former UVM basketball star makes another appearance in college town
Big Trouble is back in Burlington.Ben Crenca, now known by his wrestling stage name Big Trouble Ben Bishop, returned to his college town as a professional wrestler for the third time in two years.Crenca was a member of the UVM men’s basketball team from 2009-13, playing in 100 career games, winning two America East championships. After trying his hand at Australian football, the 6-foot-9 Crenca decided to take up professional wrestling. His career has brought him all around the country, and even a guest appearance on NBC’s hit show “Young Rock.”Through all the success, Big Trouble has big love for Burlington.”Burlington is the best place in the world,” Crenca said. I always forget how amazing everyone is here. How awesome the fans of the basketball team were, fans who turned into friends. It’s always so warm. Every time I come back, I ask myself, ‘Will they care if I’m up here?’ But every time, more and more people come out. That gets me excited to put on a hell of a show.”If you missed Ben’s performance on Friday, there is one more Saturday night at the Brandon Town Hall at 7 p.m.
