A man from Milton, New York, has made bail after he was accused of killing a beloved north country impersonator with chloroform. The Albany Times Union reports that Rayher’s bail was posted at $100,000 because he had tickets to travel to Europe and the Saratoga County judge was worried he could be a “flight risk”. Rayher was arrested in April after the death of Thomas Krider of Ticonderoga. According to court documents obtained by the Times Union, investigators say Rayher recklessly restrained Krider before administering the chloroform during a sexual encounter at his home on Middle Line Road.Court documents also showed Rayher waited five days after Krider’s death before contacting police. Krider was a well-known Elvis impersonator in the Adirondack region. He used the stage name TJ Greene. Krider was also a tour guide at the Star Trek Tour in Ticonderoga.
