Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck; towing a trailer after a hit and run crash in Danville. Vermont State Police responded to the intersection of U.S. Route 2 and VT Route 15 around 8:30 p.m. Friday. Police say a bicyclist was struck by a pickup truck towing a trailer that possibly contained sheet metal. Troopers believe 23-year-old Daniel Baumann was hit by an item protruding from the trailer while riding his bike. Witnesses say Baumann was traveling on the shoulder of the road when this happened. They also told police the vehicle did not stop after the collision and continued westbound on Route 2.Baumann sustained a minor injury from the crash and was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital for treatment for his injuries.
