Few strong thunderstorms possible late on Thursday
Wednesday turns brighter and warmer. A blend of sun and clouds is expected, with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s. A spot shower will be possible in far eastern areas, such as northern New Hampshire and the Northeast Kingdom.Thursday is the warmest day of the week with highs in the mid 80s and a mostly sunny sky. A few pop-up thunderstorms will be likely during the late afternoon and evening, especially across northern New York, as a cold front approaches from the west. A strong or severe storm will be possible.Passing showers, downpours, and weaker thunderstorms will be likely Thursday night, as the cold front continues to push through. By Friday morning and midday, the best chance for a few lingering showers will be in central and southern Vermont. Friday will start with a touch of humidity in the morning, before much drier air and more sunshine arrives in the afternoon. Highs reach the mid-upper 70s. Saturday and Sunday look tremendous! Nearly full sunshine is expected Saturday, with highs in the low 70s. Sunday will have a few more clouds, as it turns a bit warmer – highs reach the upper 70s. Both days will have comfortable levels of humidity.Next week, a long stretch of hazy, hot, and humid weather is expected.
