He defeated Taiwan’s Kan Chia Wei in his debut, then downed Bulgaria’s Rami Mofid Kiwan in the quarterfinals. But in the semifinals, Jones faced Uzbekistan’s two-time national champion Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev.Jones earned the favor of two judges. But Muydinkhujaev impressed the remaining three judges to win a tightly contested bout 3-2 in a split decision.
