The 23-year-old Raboutou took home silver at the boulder and lead sport climbing final at the Paris Olympics Saturday morning. Slovenia’s Janja Garnbret took the gold, defending her title from Tokyo. She overcame Raboutou for the victory on the last climb of the day in Le Bourget.Once points were combined, Garnbret earned 168.5 total points. Raboutou earned 156.0. That makes Raboutou the first U.S. woman to win an Olympic medal in Sport Climbing.Raboutou, who trained with Garnbret in Slovenia, said the silver was extra special because of her family connections with France.
