UVM announces interim president Patty Prelock
Students at the University of Vermont will begin moving in this week, coinciding with the appointment of Patty Prelock as interim president. Prelock, who has served UVM for over 30 years, takes on the role while the university searches for a successor to former president Suresh Garimella. Prelock has held several leadership positions, including chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and was appointed provost and senior vice president in 2019. The Board of Trustees said it expects to share more about the search for a new president in the coming weeks.
