Tiger lunges at woman who stuck hand inside enclosure at New Jersey zoo
Heart-stopping video from a New Jersey zoo has authorities searching for a woman who entered a tiger enclosure. In the video posted Tuesday, a woman can be seen near a tiger at the Cohanzick Zoo after she went over a wooden fence. The woman is seen putting her hand through a wire enclosure, attempting to entice the tiger, police said. The tiger paces back and forth before lunging toward the woman’s hand. The woman quickly moves her hand out of the enclosure and goes back toward the wooden fence. The animal looks on, continuing to pace. It wasn’t immediately clear if the woman was injured as a result of the incident. Police in Bridgeton, in southern New Jersey, are asking for help identifying the woman. The department says it is against city ordinance to climb over any fences at the zoo.
