At 5:43 AM Sunday morning, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake was observed near Pierreville, Canada in southern Québec.The epicenter was reported 5 km southeast of Pierreville, at a depth of 1.1 km (about 0.7 miles).Right near the epicenter, the USGS estimates there was strong shaking, with some light damage.The earthquake could be felt in parts of northern New York and northern Vermont, including the Plattsburgh and Burlington areas, the northern Champlain Valley, north-central Vermont, and even parts of the Northeast Kingdom.
