The Burlington Police Department is looking to identify multiple people involved in an alleged assault downtown in the early morning hours on Monday.Police received a call just after 4 a.m. about an assault that took place on College Street moments earlier. An investigation determined that a person was downtown when he was approached by a group of 12 people, some of whom were possibly juveniles, and got into an argument with them.Investigators determined that the group hit the victim multiple times, and several members push the person to the ground and kicked them repeatedly before he was able to run away.
