The Plattsburgh City Police Department has acquired seven new bulletproof vests, thanks to a federal grant that helps cover the costs of essential protective gear for officers. The new equipment was funded in part by the ‘Patrick Leahy Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program,’ which aims to assist police departments in acquiring life-saving gear.The grant offsets a portion of the cost, easing the financial burden on local departments.
