THEY TELL US THE PERSON LIVES IN PLATTSBURGH… AND BEGAN EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS BACK ON SEPTEMBER 18TH… AND WAS HOSPITALIZED. HEALTH OFFICIALS TELL US THE PATIENT IS NOW RECOVERING. THE CLINTON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT SAYS THERE ARE STILL CONCERNS OF TRIPLE-E AND WEST NILE VIRUS IN THE REGION. BOTH ARE TRANSMITTED THROUGH THE BITE OF AN INFECTED MOSQUITO.

Second human case of West Nile Virus confirmed in Clinton County, NY
The Clinton County Health Department has confirmed a second humane case of West Nile Virus.The update is the second case confirmed in the area this season.Officials said the person infected lives in Plattsburgh and began experiencing symptoms back on Sept. 18 before being hospitalized.That person is now recovering.The health department said there are still concerns of EEE, or eastern equine encephalitis, as well as West Nile Virus in the region.Both are transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito.
