Gift applications now open for Clinton County children in need this holiday season
The gifts will be distributed through the Clinton County Christmas Bureau following the Dec. 4 application deadline.
Applications are now being accepted for families in Clinton County who wish to provide their children with a special holiday season. The program, aimed at assisting children under the age of 16, is being coordinated through the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity office in Plattsburgh, as well as 11 outreach centers across Clinton County.To qualify, applicants must have children under 16 and provide proof of income, along with Social Security numbers for everyone in the household. The deadline for submitting applications is Dec. 4.Lisa Goodrow, director of community outreach at JCEO, highlighted the wide-reaching need this holiday season. “It’s not just the families we interact with regularly.
