The University of Vermont Men’s Soccer team are national champs!UVM made school history Monday night with a 2-1 win in overtime over Marshall in Cary, North Carolina.Down 1-0 in the second half, Vermont leveled the score in the 81st minute with a goal from Marcell Papp. Neither team scored in regulation, sending the game to overtime.In OT, Maximillian Kissel took long pass and broke away from a Marshall defender, leading to a breakaway and fired on net, scoring the game-winning goal. After an opening round home win vs. Iona, the ‘Cats won road games at Hofstra, San Diego and Pittsburgh to advance to their first College Cup.
