THIS YEAR…THEY REACHED A NEW RECORD WITH 25-THOUSAND MEALS PACKED THIS MORNING AT THE CANADIAN CLUB. 10-THOUSAND OF THOSE MEALS GO TO THE VERMONT FOOD BANK. OTHERS…TO LOCAL FOOD SHELVES. THE ORGANIZATION PRIDES THEMSELVES ON HELPING NEIGHBORS RECOVER WHEN DISASTER STRIKES. 25,000 meals packed and delivered by volunteers from Vermont District 45 Lions

Vermont Food Bank to receive 10,000 of those meals for families facing food insecurities.

A busy Saturday for volunteers in Barre City. The Vermont District 45 Lions spent hours packing meals for food insecure families across the state.This year, they reached a new record with 25,000 meals packed this morning at the Canadian Club.10,000 of those meals go to the Vermont Food Bank, others go to the local food shelves. The organization prides themselves on helping neighbors recover when disaster strikes. Like over the summer, when Vermonters were washed out by flooding. Organizers say they look forward to this day of giving every year.”It is very rewarding. As a lion, we always give back.
