New single game record set in Section VII high school girls’ bowling
Seton Catholic’s Lacee LaPoint bowled a near perfect game to set the new record at 299 pins
One-star Section VII high school girls’ bowler etched her name in the record books after an impressive single-game line. Lacee Lapoint, a junior at Seton Catholic High School who bowls for Saranac High School, set the new Champlain Valley Athletic Conference (CVAC) girls’ single-game bowling record. The new mark now stands at 299, a near-perfect game, which she bowled against Peru High School.LaPoint beat the previous record by 10 pins, which was originally set by Peru’s Kathryn Bowman at 289 back in 2020. LaPoint and the Spartans currently sit at first place in the CVAC with a team record of 14-1-0. She and her team will look to keep their winning ways going as they prepare for the Section VII bowling sectional championships on Thursday, Feb. 13, starting at 9 a.m. at the North Bowl Lanes in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
