THERE. OLIVIA. YEAH. THAT’S RIGHT. AND, JESS, WE’RE ACTUALLY STANDING IN FRONT OF THE DRIVEWAY WHERE THAT VIDEO WAS SHOT. AS YOU SEE BEHIND ME, A LOT OF THE ICE HAS SINCE MELTED, BUT THERE IS STILL A LOT OF ICE. NOW WE WON’T BE HITTING THOSE ABOVE FREEZING TEMPERATURES UNTIL SATURDAY. BUT THE WOMAN WHO DOES LIVE UP THE STREET FROM HERE SAYS WE SHOULD TAKE THOSE WARNINGS SERIOUSLY. AS YOU WILL SEE IN THIS VIDEO. ALL CHARLOTTE LEWIS CAN DO NOW IS WATCH AND LAUGH. THE 67 YEAR OLD SENT US THIS VIDEO SHOWING HER RUN IN WITH WINTER WEATHER. SOMEBODY WANTED TO SEE A VIDEO AND I THOUGHT, OKAY, I’M GOING TO RUN OVER THERE. IT LOOKS OKAY. OUTSIDE. RUN OVER THERE IN MY PAJAMAS WITH THE JACKET ON AND SLIPPERS, AND I’M GOING TO TAKE A VIDEO AND GET BACK HOME. BUT HER EYES DECEIVED HER. MOMENTS AFTER GETTING OUT, SHE SLIPPED AND COULDN’T GET ANY GRIP, SO SHE GRABBED ONTO HER CAR FOR SUPPORT. ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR, WHICH WAS IN PARK, SLIDES DOWN AND I’M GOING WITH IT AND I’M TRYING TO STOP IT AND I’M HOLDING ON AND GOT MY HAND ON THE BRAKE. AND THEN I’M STILL TRYING TO GET UP. MOMENTS LATER, HER PREGNANT DAUGHTER TRIES TO SAVE THE DAY BUT ENDS UP ON HER BACK END. I DIDN’T THINK I WAS IN MY PAJAMAS, NO SHOES, NO GLASSES, NOTHING AND RAN TO HELP HER. AND THAT WAS MY ISSUE. I RAN TO HELP HER. THE PAIR REPORT THEY’RE NOT INJURED AND IF ANYTHING, THEIR FAMILY GOT A GOOD LAUGH OUT OF THE VIDEO. MY HUSBAND GOT MAD, HE SAID. YOU COULD HAVE GOT RAN OVER. I WASN’T EVEN THINKING THAT. I WAS JUST THINKING, HOLD ON AND TRY TO STOP THIS SILLY CAR. THEY’RE NOW ASKING PEOPLE TO HEED THEIR WARNING AS THEY KNOW FIRSTHAND. ICY TERRAIN ISN’T ALL FUN AND GAMES. WHEN THE NEWS TELLS YOU STAY HOME, STAY HOME. THEY’RE NOT KIDDING. THEY’RE NOT. THEY’RE NOT FABRICATING. THIS IS NOT FAKE NEWS. IT’S REAL. THE PAIR ADDS IF YOU ARE HEADED OUTSIDE, BE SURE TO WEAR SHOES WITH GOOD TRACTION
