The case against the man accused of shooting three Palestinian students in Burlington is moving forward following a status conference on Thursday.Jason Eaton was back in court in Burlington as he faces three counts of attempted murder for the 2023 Thanksgiving shooting.Defense attorney Peggy Jansch requested a hearing on a “cell phone issue” and asked the judge to order Eaton to be present at all future hearings.Jansch also noted that Eaton is filing a motion for a new attorney. He filed a similar motion last August, which the judge ultimately denied.All parties agreed that they would be ready for trial by mid to late fall.There is currently a motion hearing set for the end of May.
