
For the second year, the Rutland County Parent Child Center will be hosting their annual 5k race titled “Run for Prevention.”All of the proceeds from the race will go toward the center’s programming, including those that help abused and neglected children. The race will start and end at Pine Hill Park. Runners take their mark at 10 a.m. Co-Executive Director Corissa Burnell said this year’s will be bigger than last year’s.”Just ensuring that when families come, they can not only have a great time and run, but that there’s resources available for everyone. We also have fun things: there’ll be a bounce house, a live DJ, we got the Hangy Hog food truck,” she said. “We’re excited for it!”Signups have been extended through midnight tonight.
