Montpelier police are asking for the public’s help in locating 26-year-old Emily Shoestock. According to police, shortly after 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, officers responded to a 911 hang-up near 58 State St. Someone was reportedly heard screaming in the background. When officers arrived on the scene, they were told Shoestock had assaulted multiple people and fled the area before they arrived. Witnesses said she used a box cutter to injure a man and assaulted a pregnant woman. Shoestock allegedly destroyed a cell phone belonging to someone else. A warrant has been issued for her arrest. Shoestock is known to be transient in the central Vermont area. Police say Shoestock has active court-related conditions related to prior assault and disorderly conduct charges.
