It wasn’t until the next morning that I realized I had actually won $150,000,” Amburgey told lottery officials. “It was like a dream.”He made the drive with family members to the lottery headquarters in Louisville where he received a check for $107,000 after taxes.Amburgey said he plans to use the money for a new home and to buy land.”We’re buying land,” he said. “I own my mobile home. So, I’m going to buy the land and probably sell the one I’m in for something bigger.” He also said he plans to continue his charitable contributions, believing in the power of paying it forward.Amburgey said he believes faith may have played a role in his journey. We’ve really not spent much money on it (lottery),” Amburgey said. “This win is definitely a blessing.”The Speedway that sold the ticket will receive $1,500.
