North Country official says region has been ‘left out’ of New York State’s clean energy planning
Plattsburgh town supervisor and candidate for New York State Assembly in the 115th District calls for outreach from state leaders
Michael Cashman, candidate for the New York State Assembly in the 115th District, is calling on state leaders Friday to provide in-person outreach to the North Country, as New York State develops a 15-year clean energy transition plan, something Cashman says the region has been left out of.”The North Country deserves as much attention as any other region in this state” said Cashman. “I have said it before, and I’ll say it again: I have and will work with folks of all political stripes for common-sense solutions.”Cashman adding: that he will not be shy about making sure Essex, Franklin and Clinton counties are heard.The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority website has attached a draft of the state’s plan, providing an outlook through 2040.
