
The suspect in an active incident that closed a road and evacuated an apartment in Burlington was shot by Burlington police just after 8 p.m. Sunday night.The incident happened on Riverside Avenue, between Intervale Avenue and Bright Street. The suspect exited the apartment following a nine-hour standoff with police after officers deployed multiple tear gas canisters into the building. Once the suspect was outside, police fired shots, hitting the suspect multiple times. The suspect was later placed into an ambulance.
