Both Vermont and the University of Albany remained tied at 0-0 for nearly 80 minutes of play, but it was Sophia LeFranc who broke that tie with a game-winning goal and 1-0 Catamount Victory.LeFranc scored the game-winning goal after rifling a shot in double overtime on a penalty corner under Emma Peeters. She was assisted by Fiona McMahon. That was LeFranc’s 7th goal of the season. Merle Vaandrager picked up her second shutout of the season, securing five saves as the Catamounts’ starting goalie.
