But there’s one site that lures people from out of town – the birthplace of Joseph Smith, the Founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. “I hope that anybody who has any interest in history or religious history would come and visit,” said Larry Neilson, the President of the Joseph Smith Birthplace. “It’s a great story here about a very important human in U.S. and world history — Joseph Smith.
