Skiers and snowboarders, take notice: The much-awaited Superstar Six chairlift at Killington Resort is set to open this weekend. Killington staff announced that the $12 million chairlift will open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 9 a.m.The six-person chairlift was originally scheduled to open in early December. Work has been ongoing for several months to replace and modernize the previous four-person chairlift along with manufacturing partner Doppelmayr.Killington will celebrate the grand opening of the new chairlift with a ribbon-cutting and champagne toast that will include exclusive giveaway items for guests, including a pair of custom, Superstar-themed skis.The Superstar Six lift replacement was part of Killington’s overall $38 million investment in the resort, which includes enhancements to snowmaking and new gondola cabins.
