I wasn’t that big into it when I was 17, and the jet lag was an issue, but now I can manage that,” Stolz said. He can also manage being in the spotlight.Stolz is a featured athlete in the promotion of the Milan-Cortina Olympics and even shares the small screen with A-list actor Glen Powell.”The reaction from everybody was big because it’s Glen Powell, right, and I’m just a speed skater; it was nice to put us together,” Stolz said. But they weren’t together; they filmed their scenes separately and Hollywood magic did the rest. “I hope to meet him and say, ‘Yeah, that was a nice commercial we did,'” Stolz said. And Powell may really want to meet Stolz if he makes history. In Italy, he can become only the second American to win three or more gold medals at a single Winter Olympics.Fellow speed skater Eric Heiden won five golds at the 1980 Lake Placid Games.
