
Two people have died after a crash in Colchester on Friday night.According to police, the three-car crash happened just after 6 p.m. Parts of Route 2 and 7 near Coon Hill Road, which is about a mile south of the Exit 17 on-ramp to I-89, were closed. Officers arrived to find multiple people trapped in their cars.Multiple nearby emergency crews responded.Colchester police said that two people died at the hospital and three others are being treated for their injuries. Milton police will be investigating because the driver is the former spouse of a Colchester Police Department officer. The Vermont State Police Crash Reconstruction Team is helping with the investigation.
