COOL SNOW SCULPTURE! THANKS TO HIS DAUGHTER TIFFANY… FOR SHARING THESE PICTURES WITH US. Rain and snow taper off after sunset this evening with generally drier conditions forecast for the weekend, though some spotty showers are possible. Temperatures will be a bit on the chilly side on Saturday, then warming back into the 50s and 60s early next week. Unsettled conditions continue into next week with on and off chances for showers. && .NEAR TERM /THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT/… As of 1033 PM EDT Friday…Forecast is in good shape for the overnight hours as we await the departure of the stationary low pressure system over Cape Cod. Until then, feed of moisture continues with light rain and snow continuing to circulate westward and southward through the same corridor of northern Vermont and the Champlain Valley. So with the update, I was able to cut down on precipitation chances and amounts farther west in much of northern New York, as well as over southern and eastern Vermont where only spotty showers will fall. Temperatures are quite steady and there is no significant changes anticipated through the next several hours, so wet roads are likely to remain wet through this period. Previous Discussion… By tomorrow morning, precipitation will have mostly come
As the nor’easter pivots away from the New England coast, precipitation slowly winds down this evening. Conditions are quieter tonight with lows in the 40s and 30s. The weekend is cloudy, but overall mostly dry. Each day carries the chance for a spot shower, but nothing that will ruin plans.Highs both weekend days are in the 50s.Warmer conditions briefly return next week, with highs back in the 60s!By midweek, another system looms on the horizon. There are some indications that more mountain snow may be in the cards, but it’s too early to make a definite call.
