Multiple fire departments responded to a home containing two apartments in the city of Winooski Wednesday morning.Firefighters arrived at the house on Weaver Street near the corner of West Allen Street just before 5:30 a.m.NBC5 News spoke with people who were inside one of the apartments when the fire broke out. They said they were all able to get out safely and no one was hurt.Rescue crews standing by near the fire scene confirmed no one, including firefighters, was injured.Firefighters said it took some time checking for and putting out hot spots because there were several layers to the roof of the structure.Crews from several fire departments in the Chittenden County area helped out.The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
