Clouds and showers return Thursday
Cooler by the weekend
Now. NBC 5. 1st Warning Weather with Meteorologist Tyler Jankowski. Well You can’t get better than today. Can you know? I mean way up into the upper 60s in the Champlain Valley and That’s it though. Tomorrow tomorrow changes. I got showers on the way but we knew that would be the case. Did you get your relief breaking in? I know you said maybe 10:00 AM. Yeah, I did. And you didn’t show up. I would have been bags. I want to show up in the blue suit. I was checking the weather email for a photo we could show. I don’t have I can’t take pictures while I’m raking. Well let me know next time. Hopefully you have some leaves left. Maybe I’ll swing by and give you a hand. We’ve got a view right now over lake champlain. Look at this, you can see the sun still high in the sky at least 5 17 in an hour. It’ll be set. So nice shot there of juniper island. There’s the 68 still in Burlington and you can see a few clouds on storm tracker. Just this little band that kind of formed over the last few hours there’s a few showers by Syracuse to so as we go through this night thinking maybe a light Sprinkle but most of the night will be dry. It’s tomorrow when we start to see more of the showers. There’s still way off on the left side of the screen over Michigan. So right now we’ve got a 63 and Malone and Ellen berg 61 in Swanton and a 67 in Waterbury average high is a lot closer to 60 degrees. So we have a lot of spots. Everyone basically way above that right now, 68 in Lebanon still. So the clouds are certainly on the increase tonight with that Sprinkle potential in a few showers tomorrow. But thinking the upcoming weekend is mostly dry. That includes friday to there’s little shower chances here and there as you’ll see here in a second but nothing major at all. So that’s the Sprinkle potential this evening. Most areas are dry as the clouds thicken up. Makes for a nice sunset. Tomorrow morning could be a shower across northern areas especially but we really have to wait until the afternoon and evening to bring up the shower chance at least a little bit. But as you see here there’s really no big area of rain coming through. It’s just a few showers. I think most of us will get a downpour in the pre dawn hours of friday like 34 o’clock in the morning friday. This is the front going through but as we’ve been saying, the timing of it is pretty good for outdoor plans later friday because the trend is drier. There’s still a little shower chance by midday friday but I think we’re pretty much all drying out by later on in the day and certainly friday evening, there’s still clouds but by that point most of the showers are long gone and the clouds will be stubborn on saturday. But you see there’s just not much green on the map. So it’s mostly dry. How much rain? Not much, just a few 10th of an inch. Could be 2/10 of an inch in Burlington and Messina. So you see here as this moves along, it really dries out. The system does as it moves to the east. So we’re not expecting a lot of rain so the clouds thicken up tonight because of that, it won’t be as chile 50 to the low in Burlington and highs tomorrow still 60s, not quite 68 like we had today but still on the mild side with a few showers every now and again, 61 the high am alone Ticonderoga coming in at 65 a 73 in brattleboro. But member I said most of the showers are north early on so that allows southern Vermont to warm up and then friday Again most of the showers are early on, there’s the weekend, a bit of a shortage of sun but at least it looks mostly dry on saturday. Then the half marathon on sunday There’s a chance for a shower but it’s a low chance at this point right around 50° and then again looking mostly dry there in the early part of next week Brian Alice
