STAR GUARD JOSIE LARKINS ENTERED TODAY’S GAME AGAINST U-M-B-C FOUR POINTS AWAY FROM O NE THOUSAND ON HER CAREER. / EARLY FIRST QUARTER – CATS ON TRANSITION. LARKINS NOW TWO AWAY FROM ONE THOUSAND. U-V-M UP TWO. / LATER IN THE FIRST, LARKINS AT THE LINE. THAT’S 999. / SECOND SHOT. ATTH’S ONE THOUSAND FOR THE FIFTH YEAR. COACH KRESGE PULLS HER STAR OUT OF T GHEAME – GETTING LOVE FROM HER TEAMMATES, AS WELL AS HER FAMILY WHO WAS IN AT TENDANCE FROM NEW JERSEY. Saturday at Patrick Gym was a moment that the Catamount’s women’s basketball team won’t soon forget.Vermont’s star guard, Josie Larkins, scored her 1,000th career point on a free throw.”I don’t know, it’s just a surreal moment. Something that I have always wanted to do. To be able to do it here, in front of everyone. I was just so happy, I’m extremely proud of myself,” Larkins said.”To see this team love every moment of Josie’s career. Picking her up on tough days, being there to celebrate the most exciting moments, I’m just happy for them and for Josie,” head coach Alisa Kresge said.Larkins scored a team-high, 21 points in the Catamounts’ 69-36 victory over UMBC.

Vermont’s star guard, Josie Larkins, scored her 1,000th career point on a free throw.

“I don’t know, it’s just a surreal moment. Something that I have always wanted to do. To be able to do it here, in front of everyone. I was just so happy, I’m extremely proud of myself,” Larkins said.

“To see this team love every moment of Josie’s career. Picking her up on tough days, being there to celebrate the most exciting moments, I’m just happy for them and for Josie,” head coach Alisa Kresge said.

Larkins scored a team-high, 21 points in the Catamounts’ 69-36 victory over UMBC.
