Woodcroft pulling out of Olympics ‘is the best thing for UVM hockey’

However, it will all be done remotely from Vermont. “The prize of victory versus the process of improving for us, I wasn’t exactly thrilled where we are right now on the results side. Seeing how the world is going, COVID getting worst, the risks right now for me to go there outweigh the benefits. I don’t think that this should be a story, it should be about the athletes, the people performing. I’m just a coach going there and I was excited to go but this is the best thing for UVM men’s hockey,” Woodcroft said.Due to COVID-19-related postponements, the Catamounts have not played a game since Jan. 4. UVM next takes the ice on Tuesday at Gutterson Fieldhouse when the Cats host Northeastern.
