Plattsburgh police have arrested a man in connection to the homicide of Melissa Myers in Plattsburgh. NBC5 obtained a copy of a sworn statement by police from the Clinton County District Attorney, Andrew Wylie. Police arrested Vincent M. Abrams, 44, of Champlain at his home on Thursday night. During a press conference on Friday, Interim Plattsburgh Police Chief Bud York said that Abrams was an associate of the victim and the two had been part of a group of people who were partying nearby earlier that night.York said that Myers, who was believed to have been killed between the hours of 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, was found by her sister. He said that Myers was stabbed “more than ten or twenty times.”Police would not comment on a possible motive for the murder, nor why Myers’ sister went to her apartment during that time. Abrams is now facing a second-degree murder charge and is being held without bail at Clinton County Jail.He’s due back in court next Wednesday.
