New York State Police have released new information into a homicide investigation in the town of Plattsburgh.On July 14, just after 1 p.m., New York State Police say they were asked to check on the welfare of Monique Yanulavich, 45, of Westwood Drive in Plattsburgh.Officials said officers and family members began checking the local area and around 6 p.m., Yanulavich’s body was found in her car in the parking lot behind Champlain National Bank on Route 3 in Plattsburgh.On July 15, an autopsy was performed on Yanulavich at Glens Falls Medical Center. The cause of death was determined to be multiple stab wounds and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.New York State Police said evidence was located off of Interstate 87 in the town of Elizabethtown.New York State Police said they’ve investigated nearly 100 leads to date. They said the attack appears to have been targeted and not random.
