NY bridge named after state trooper, 9/11 responder
The bridges on I-87 in Northern New York over the Saranac River will be renamed to honor State Trooper Brian Falb, a local 9/11 first responder.Falb died from cancer that stemmed from the September 11, 2001 terror attacks and his exposure to ground zero.Now, New York is honoring Falb’s service with a new bill to rename the bridges. Assemblyman Billy Jones sponsored the bill, which was signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul.Falb served the North Country Community for 18 years. He died in March 2017.
