Widespread rain returns on Tuesday, with patchy freezing rain possible east of the Green Mountains. At this point the afternoon commute looks to be the wettest. Highs will be in the 40s.Additional showers pass through Wednesday, with highs stuck in the 40s as a front meanders overhead.Wednesday evening and night, colder air sneaks in from the north as rain overspreads the area again.Widespread icing is possible, with sleet and freezing rain, which would create very difficult travel.Snow showers linger for Thursday, Friday and Saturday as it turns colder.
