Brief wintry mix Thursday, dry this weekend

Clouds increase on Thursday, with the next system arriving during the afternoon. A brief period of snow or wintry mix is expected, especially for northern areas, for a few hours Thursday afternoon/evening.However, most areas transition to rain during the evening hours Thursday. A few leftover rain showers will linger Thursday night into early Friday morning. Mountain snow showers are possible Friday morning for the Greens and Adirondacks, but no accumulation is expected.
