A motorist was arrested on Thursday after his vehicle became suspended on a guy wire near Peru Street.The Burlington Police Department said they were called to the scene after receiving multiple reports of a fire that was caused by the crash.When they arrived, they found the vehicle suspended and a high-voltage power line that had broken free and was arching on the ground, according to a report.Police were able to identify the driver of the vehicle as 28-year-old Dylan Stevens of St. Albans. Officers said Stevens exhibited signs of intoxication and was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for evaluation. He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after being released from the hospital.Officials said Stevens refused to provide a sample of his breath and was deemed a DUI refusal. He was issued a citation and released.The vehicle was removed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
