Multiple crews responded Thursday morning to Harrigan’s Fast Food & Soft Serve in Chateaugay, NY.
Multiple crews were called to a structure fire early Thursday morning in Chateaugay. Franklin County dispatch tells NBC5 the call came in around 4:45 a.m. for a fire at Harrigan’s Fast Food & Soft Serve on state route 374. As of 6:45 a.m., officials confirmed the fire was still active and at least five crews from Franklin County, New York, were on the scene. Parts of state route 374 were also closed Thursday morning, as crews worked to put out the fire. By noon, the fire was out, and crews had cleared the area.An investigation into the cause and origin of the fire is expected to begin this afternoon. However, officials told NBC5 that the fire is not being considered suspicious.Harrigan’s had just opened for the season on April 21, according to a post on their Facebook page.A total of nine departments responded to help put out the blaze.This is a developing story.
