Most will drive, especially with gas prices around a dollar less than this time last year. “Pack your patience,” said Dan Goodman, public affairs manager from AAA Northern New England. “There are a lot of people who put off traveling and seeing friends and family for a couple years, and this is just another opportunity to go do that.”More than 3 million people will still take to the skies all over the country.Airport director Nic Longo said their forecast predicts 18,000 travelers will depart from BTV, and 18 thousand will arrive from Friday until Tuesday. “Arriving early and being prepared on what you can and cannot bring will ensure you have a seamless experience,” Longo added.The airport said the foot traffic is going to continue throughout the rest of the summer, anticipating one of their busiest summers ever.
