As of Sunday afternoon, power was still shut down.The images appear to show several inches of flood water reaching the base of trailers and homes in the area. The campground said Independence Day weekend is typically their busiest time of the summer, coupled with tourism for Canada Day. Officials are still trying to determine how much damage was caused to the property. Assemblyman Billy Jones said in a Facebook post that communities along the 374 and Route 11 corridors have experienced flash flooding, resulting in numerous road closures.Jones added that crews are on scene assessing the damage. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said, “Over the past 12 hours, rainfall in Clinton County has caused significant flooding leading to dangerous conditions in certain areas. I am closely monitoring the situation and have directed my team to assist local officials however necessary. We have already deployed personnel with the State’s Office of Emergency Management to monitor the situation and provide support to local leaders.
