CLAYTON, New York (WWNY) – If you bought a Powerball ticket in Clayton or Watertown Wednesday, you might want to check your numbers.
The New York Lottery reports a second prize-winning ticket was sold at Sliders Food Mart on James Street in Clayton and a third prize winner was sold at Joe’s Kwik Marts on Arsenal Street in Watertown
Lottery officials place the value of the second prize ticket at $1 million and the third prize ticket at $50,000.
“It’s really cool that it happened to our store. I wish it happened to one of our employees. Then we could’ve all split it,” said Khrysten Stephenson, who works at Sliders.
The names of the winners were not released.
A jackpot-winning ticket worth more than $1 billion was sold in California.
