TOWN OF CHAMPION, New York (WWNY) – A head on crash sent two people to the hospital and shutdown part of State Route 126 Tuesday evening.
It happened near the Rutland and Champion town line.
One of the vehicles was severely damaged while the other had significant damage to the front of it.
The West Carthage Fire Chief says there was one person in each vehicle, one has serious injuries and the other’s were minor. Both were taken to Carthage Area Hospital for care.
The road was closed between Plank Road and County Route 47 for a while Tuesday night.
New York State Police are investigating the crash.
