Collectors assemble at Watertown collectibles show Saturday

WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – The Sports Cards, Coins and Collectibles Show was back in Watertown this weekend.

The show features dozens of vendors buying, selling and trading items like sports memorabilia, Pokémon cards and Funko Pops.

On Saturday, in honor of Veterans Day, all veterans got into the show free of charge.

Event organizers say visitor attendance has been growing every month since they started doing these shows back in February and encourage people from across the area to come see what these shows are all about.

“I remember as a kid going to shows, there were shows locally all throughout the North Country and it is something that died off over the years. There are still some local shows around, but we wanted something that was cement once a month where you could actually see all of your friends, you get out and see the people and you reconnect with them and it is great having that as an option,” said show co-organizer Andrew Crossett.

The shows happen on the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Faichney Drive Business Complex. The next one is scheduled for December 9th.
