A missing man in Franklin County has been found dead, according to officials.The Franklin County Sherriff’s Office said they located the body of 21-year-old Ryan Bell on Monday morning.Bell’s body was found near a corn field in the Town of St. Albans by a member of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office as well as a Vermont State Police K9 unit and a member of the VSP Search and Rescue Team.While an investigation is ongoing, Franklin County Sheriff John Grismore said no foul play is suspected at this time. At this point, it is believed that Bell died of hypothermia, according to Grismore.A tip from a citizen helped point officials to the location where Bell’s body was ultimately found. Next of kin has been notified of Bell’s death.Bell was last seen on Dec. 30 around 2 p.m. at Maplefields North on Route 7 near the Highgate Shopping Plaza after leaving his work at the McDonald’s on Swanton Road in St. Albans.Bell suffers from epilepsy, and there was concern he may be on the verge of having seizure episodes.State police are handling the death investigation. Both VSP and the Milton Police Department assisted in search efforts.
