BRIAN – IT’S BEEN A TOUGH SUMMER FOR MANY LOCAL COMMUNITIES BECAUSE OF THE HEAVY AMOUNT OF RAIN AND FLOODING WE’VE HAD. BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, APPLES AT ONE NORTHERN NEW YORK ORCHARD ARE EXPECTED TO BE READY SOONER THAN EXPECTED. SHE SAYS THIS APPLE PICKING SEASON WILL BE DIFFERENT. THE ORCHARD LET’S FOLKS PICK APPLES FROM LABOR DAY WEEKEND UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER. BUT SULLIVAN SAYS THAT APPLES COULD BE READY AS SOON AS NEXT WEEK THANKS TO ALL THE RAIN WE’VE SEEN. And in a dry year, if you get a lot of rain, all of a sudden, the apples absorb too much water and causes problems. But this year it’s just been a steady amount of water and the apples are looking really nice.” (áááVOááá) AND BANKER’S ISN’T THE ONLY ONE EXPERIENCING THIS – A MEMBER OF NEW YORK STATE’S APPLE MARKETING BOARD SAYS APPLES ALL ACROSS THE STATE WILL BE READER SOONER THAN EXPECTED.
