The 2025 Grammy Awards are going down right now, and the red carpet already has some pretty major celebs lurking on it.And while a ton of A-listers are invited AND poised to attend tonight’s ceremony—including the likes of Doechii, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan—there are a few celebs who are skipping. André 3000André 3000 who announced the news on Instagram with, “Unfortunately, I’m not able to attend the Grammys tomorrow but some of the New Blue Sun musicians, friends, and supporters will be in attendance. Our album was conceived and recorded in Los Angeles with spirit of openness and creative collaboration. We hope that the rebound of Los Angeles is swift and renewing. Congrats to all the musicians and collaborators being acknowledged. Keep playing.” André 3000 is nominated for Album of the Year, Best Alternative Jazz Album and Best Instrumental Composition.Travis KelceTravis was presumably invited as Taylor Swift’s plus-one but can’t make it due to the Chiefs gearing up for the Super Bowl next Sunday. A source told ET, “Although Travis would have loved to be with Taylor…she feels so supported by him and knows he will be cheering her on.”Ariana GrandeDespite being nominated for several awards (including Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Dance Pop Recording), Ari didn’t make an appearance at the 2025 Grammys tonight. First up, Ariana is currently in the middle of a giant, seemingly never-ending Wicked press tour, which just went into overdrive thanks to the Oscars. Meanwhile, there’s also the fact that Ari’s fans feel she was “robbed” by the Recording Academy due to Eternal Sunshine not being nominated in any of the major categories like Record of the Year, Album or the Year, or Song of the Year.Selena GomezAs you may have noticed, Selena Gomez was notably absent from the 2025 Grammy Awards red carpet on Sunday night. And honestly, it makes sense, seeing as the multi-hyphenate did not pick up any noms for her most recent song, which was her standalone single released in February 2024, “Love On.”Dua LipaDua Lipa totally stole the show at the 2024 Grammys, but honestly, no one was all that surprised when she failed to make an appearance at the 2025 Grammys…mostly because her third studio album, Radical Optimism, failed to receive any nods in the general and pop categories.Machine Gun Kelly and Megan FoxIt was a little surprising when Machine Gun Kelly and his then-fiancée Megan Fox did not make an appearance at the 2024 Grammy Awards, but I don’t think anyone was surprised not to see these two at the 2025 Grammys. If you’ve been following along, then you know Megan is currently expecting her fourth child (reportedly due in March)…plus, she and MGK aren’t on the best terms right now. There’s also the fact that MGK’s last studio album, Mainstream Sellout, was released back in 2022, so he wasn’t up for any awards this year anyway.A$AP Rocky and RihannaAs you probably expected, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were no-shows at the 2025 Grammy Awards, and there are likely three main reasons for this, the first being that Rihanna notoriously hasn’t released new music in Y-E-A-R-S. Second, Rocky also has not released a new album in several years—though his fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, is set to drop in early 2025 after several delays. The third reason: Rocky (whose real name is Rakim Mayers) is currently on trial after being accused of firing a gun at a former collaborator.Harry StylesApologies to anyone hoping to get a glimpse of Harry Styles, because sadly, the singer has ditched the Grammy Awards for a second year in a row. Of course, he wasn’t expected to show face at the ceremony (which is taking place just one day after his birthday, btw!), mostly because he isn’t performing, presenting, or up for any awards this year.Jennifer LopezWhile it’s unknown why J.Lo skipped out on the ceremony, she wasn’t nominated for any awards this year, nor was she slated to present, so it’s not all that surprising. Plus, she just returned from the Sundance Film Festival, where she was booked and busy promoting her new movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman.Justin and Hailey BieberUnsurprisingly, the Biebers opted to skip the ceremony tonight for the third year in a row. The reason: Justin has no nominations nor is he performing, giving them no pressing reason to be there. Oh, and there’s also the fact that they have a five-month-old son at home.TylaTyla won her first Grammy in 2024, but this year, the singer chose not to attend the ceremony. Surprisingly, she didn’t score any nominations this year, even her self-titled debut album (which she released last March) earned widespread praise.Doja CatLike Tyla, Doja Cat’s latest album, Scarlet, didn’t get any love from the Recording Academy, so the pop star was a no-show at the 2025 Grammys.Megan Thee StallionWhy wasn’t Megan Thee Stallion at the 2025 Grammys, you ask? Her self-titled third studio album was nowhere to be seen on this year’’s list of Grammy nominations—despite Megan earning her first-ever solo Hot 100 No. 1 hit with “Hiss” and the continued success of later singles, such as “Mamushi.”Jelly RollJelly Roll was nominated for two Grammys this year—Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for his song “I Am Not Okay”—but he opted not to attend the ceremony, perhaps because (1) he wasn’t scheduled to present any awards or perform and (2) he’s in the midst of his Beautifully Broken tour.Lana Del ReyLana Del Rey—who has been nominated for 11 Grammys throughout her career and has yet to win—was yet another star who failed to show at the Grammys this year. Earlier in 2024, Lana announced her latest studio album, Lasso, and though it hasn’t been released yet, its first single, “Tough,” dropped back in July but didn’t get any Grammys love.Bad BunnyThough the artist was up for Best Música Urbana Album at the 2025 Grammys, Benito bummed out fans by skipping the ceremony.
