Burlington to celebrate first night of Hannukkah with city menorah lighting ceremony
Burlington will be lighting up the night on Sunday in celebration of the first night of Hannukkah.The city will light a 9-foot-tall menorah on the Church Street Marketplace on Sunday night, which is the beginning of the Festival of Lights.There will also be a special gathering before the final night of Hannukkah on Sunday, Dec. 21 that is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.Last month, the city officially lit the Church Street Christmas tree at the top of the Church Street Marketplace, in a ceremony that saw thousands of people gathering downtown.
