
A busy day around Plattsburgh High School athletics featured a complete performance from the school’s girls’ flag football team. The Hornets tallied 21 straight unanswered points, leading to a 21-7 win against the Boquet Valley High School Griffins. Calli Ryerson got the scoring going with a long reception after a screen pass, which set her up for a one-yard rushing score at the goal line for the 7-0 lead into halftime.Myasia Do and Emma Tuller would then haul in a pair of passes from Emma Koon to help Plattsburgh take a commanding 21-0 lead. Boquet Valley did get on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter with Emma Conley catching the first touchdown pass in Griffins’ girls’ flag football history. Boquet Valley started their flag football team in 2026 in the 4th annual season for girls’ flag football in the section. Plattsburgh High School girls’ lacrosse combo team of multiple Section VII schools scored eight times, but a 15-g0al performance from Massena High School overwhelmed Plattsburgh in their 15-8 defeat. Joie Lynn Jabaut tallied a game-high five goals and dished out two assists in the win for Massena. Jordyn Jabuat and Keara Frost also tallied four goals apiece for the Red Raiders. Seton Catholic High School’s Lily Forrence scored a team-high four goals while Beekmantown High School’s Lizzy Burnham added two goals and three assists for the Hornet offense.
